COVID-19: IMPORTANT INFORMATION

COVID19 Case, Ballina Golf & Sports Club ProShop
At approximately 10.30 this morning, Wednesday 31st March 2021, HealthNSW contacted The Ballina Golf & Sports Club Pro Shop. HealthNSW informed staff that an active COVID-19 case came into the Pro Shop Sunday March 28 between 2.25pm and 2.35pm.
HealthNSW has advised The Ballina Golf & Sports Club Pro Shop staff member on duty to follow the HealthNSW protocol and be tested and isolated immediately. We have been advised the infected individual did not attend the clubhouse or any other area of Ballina Golf & Sports Club. Ballina Golf & Sports Club and Ballina Golf Pro Shop have continuously followed a strict COVID-19 Safety Plan, including regular cleaning. All correct policies and procedures have been followed, including COVID-19 deep cleaning of the venue.
The club and Pro Shop will continue to follow advice from Health NSW.
The Pro Shop is closed on 1 April 2021, and will re-open on 2 April 2021 when the clubhouse is planned to re-open. The Pro Shop and club will otherwise remain open, unless instructed otherwise by NSW Health. Please continue to visit our website, or check our Facebook page for updates.

In these uncertain and worrying times, we would like to assure all of our valued members and guests that we are taking every precaution to ensure the safety and well-being of our customers and staff.
The NSW Government has advised that golf is considered an activity that can continue in line with Public Health Orders relating to public gathering limits, social distancing, and the elderly. We therefore remain open at this time.
Sporting Clubs are required by NSW Health Department to record basic customer contact details. These details are stored securely for 28 days and are only used for contact-tracing, if necessary, by the NSW Health Department.
From 20 December 2020, Ballina Golf & Sports Club policy deems there will be NO entry of members or guests from any declared COVID-19 ‘hotspots’. If you are a resident of the hotspot location or have recently travelled there, we kindly ask that you do not attend the Golf Club or Pro Shop at this time. If you do so, you will not be allowed entry. We thank you for your understanding.
All other Ballina Golf & Sports Club Members and visitors are welcome to play and use the driving range if you have registered your attendance via the QR code or with our staff.
We have also adapted our in-store operations to ensure compliance with the Australian and NSW Government rules, including:
social distancing, by keeping a distance of at least 1.5 metres between people at all times;
permitting maximum of 4 customers in our store at a time, in compliance with the 4m2 rule;
imposing a maximum of 4 players per golf group;
limit of 2 person in a golf cart at a time - available to both members and non-members; and
safe hygiene practices and frequent sanitization.
In addition to our usual high standards, we have increased our cleaning and sanitizing regimes.
We kindly ask if you are attending golf or our store, please ensure you either wash your hands before entering the pro shop or use the hand sanitizer provided.
If you are not feeling well, or have been in direct contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19, please remain at home.
